Meet a Jane: Gazelle Simmons

Gazelle Simmons is a Virtual Assistant and Owner of Admin Services. Since 1998, she has specialized in data entry, presentations, word processing, database management, editing and proofreading services, mass mailings, thesis and manuscript processing as well as other clerical services. With over ten years of experience as an Administrative/Executive Assistant, she applies the skills she learned in the corporate world to help her clients who are small business owners, independent contractors, website owners, financial advisors, photographers, realtors, writers as well as individuals looking for administrative assistance. Gazelle recently became an author of the e-book “What is a VA and how you can become one?” which can be previewed for free here . Her novel, “That which does not kill us makes us stronger,” can be previewed in e-book format as well.

Gazelle began her business as she needed the freedom to work when she could while raising two small children (ages four and five at the time) as well as being a caregiver to aging parents who are now deceased. “Being able to put God first and be here for my children who are now eighteen and seventeen is the biggest reward of owning my own business,” said Gazelle.

After taking the Which Jane Are You? assessment, Gazelle has discovered that she is a Merry Jane. “It sounds very much like me,” said Gazelle. “My accomplishment of eleven years in business has helped me move from an Accidental Jane to a Tenacity Jane to a Merry Jane. Now I’m looking forward to being a Jane Dough!” Gazelle’s advice for other Merry Janes is simple, “Never forget why you became a business owner and enjoy the perks.”
