Meet a Jane: Courtney Parks

Courtney Parks, MA, CPCC is a professional coach, speaker and owner of Courtney Parks Coaching. Dedicated to helping female professionals and entrepreneurs create passion, success and balance in their careers, Courtney helps women find their passion and translate it into a successful job or business.
As a coach, Courtney had two goals for her business, “I wanted to make money doing what I absolutely love and wanted to help other women do the same through creating their own passionate careers. I also longed for the freedom of self-employment: making my own schedule, doing what I want in my business and controlling my income.” Courtney’s biggest reward for owning her own business is the freedom to create what she wants in her business and in her life
Courtney has taken the Which Jane Are You? assessment and she has been typed as a Merry Jane. She feels it fits her business’s status, dreams, accomplishments, and challenges as, “I definitely love my business and am really organized with my time so that I can enjoy my life (one of the things I teach other women to do as well). I consider it the greatest gift to have both a passionate career and a passionate life!”
She is as passionate about her advice for other Merry Janes as she is about her business. “Use your passion for what you do as fuel to drive the marketing, sales and income generation in your business,” says Courtney, “and learn how to translate your passion into money! Focus on what you do best, what you enjoy and what’s most important and let others who love what they do support the other functions in your business – so you are your most effective and you maintain your energy for what really matters.”
Although she is a Merry Jane, Courtney finds empathy with other Jane Types even today as, “I would say I am definitely part ‘Tenacity Jane’ since I’m always working really hard on business growth, and I am in transition to becoming a ‘Jane Dough’ who is ultra successful with systems in place so that I leverage my time and make much more with the same or less effort!”
